Derbyshire 2035 Festival

So what is a Masonic Festival?
A Masonic Festival, is a period during which Freemasons, through their Lodges and Provinces raise funds for charitable causes. Typically this involves various fundraising activities, such as dinners, galas, concerts, auctions, raffles and many other events when the bethren, friends and family come together to organise, socialise, celebrate, and donate to charity.
Each Province traditionally takes their turn to coordinate the 10 year Festival. Derbyshire now has that responsibility and ours has began and will end in 2035.

Derbyshire 2035 Festival will support the Mark Benevolent Fund. This registered charity was founded in 1868. Over 150 years of honourable service to Mark Master Masons and their families. They support those in financial hardship, resolve personal mobility issues, tackle household repairs and assist with other distressed circumastances amongst many other works. Find out more by visiting the Mark Benevolent Fund web site or from your Lodge or Provintial Almoner.
Regular donations by the majority of our members is seen as the backbone of our Festival and initial priority as the Festival begins its first year. A small regular commitment from an early stage will greatly ease the burden as we gather momentum. See how you can contribute by Regular Giving.
Charity is recognised as the destinguishing characteristic of a Freemasons heart. The Derbyshire 2035 Festival gives our brethren the oportunity to exercise that virtue.
Within these pages you should find all the information you need to help you with events you may be organising and how to complete any donations. I and the team thank you in advance for your contributions.
